But achieving success was not easy. Mark knew the sleep mask market was saturated and so, to set his company apart, he worked closely with his manufacturers to design a product that’s breathable, lightweight, and yet sturdy enough to stay on your face throughout the night.

He also used his previous experience selling on Amazon, coupled with the money his team collected from a crowdfunding campaign, to transition his business to Shopify. That’s when things really began to take off.

Two years ago, Manta Sleep expanded into international markets by investing in TikTok and strengthening their marketing funnels, which led to 25 percent increase in revenue. 

Mark said the UK has been their best international marketplace, thanks to the diversification of his marketing channels.
