These
PDF flood maps are a compilation of screen captures from various sources, as such, the numeric scale, 1 inch equals 343’ and the
justification of the various sourcelayers may lack
accuracy. The flood hazard layers indicate the SFHA, (commonly calledthe
100 year flood area; light blue screen hatch), the Floodway
(red cross hatching ) and the Base Flood Elevations (BFE, red lines with black numeric
elevations above sea level) The screen captures are provided for general
reference information only. More accurate information is available from FEMA (www.msc.fema.gov)
and the Windsor Lister and/or Zoning Office.
The
15 images start at the Hartland Town
line and proceed south to the Weathersfield town line
and concentrate on the Connecticut River
flood hazard area. For reference,
below is a key to the images and the areas of
those images.
Please be aware the PDF maps are a very large file (3.32 MB) so
please plan accordingly. Because of the complexity of these drawings I suggest
they are best viewed on screen where one can use the Adobe Reader zoom and
navigation tools to more closely examine the images. Because of the density of
graphics, printing these images may not be especially useful.
